Liverpool are believed to be tracking Inter striker Andrea Pinamonti, according to the Corriere Dello Sport (via calciomercato.com). The Italian newspaper also report that Barcelona, Manchester City, Arsenal, Juventus and Villarreal are in the race to sign the forward.
The 17 year old can only sign a professional deal when he turns 18 in May, and currently only has a youth contract that runs to 2018. It means he is free to talk to clubs, sparking interest from some of Europe’s top teams.
Pinamonti has come to prominence in particular this season because of his performances playing in the Italian Primovera league at youth level. In just seven starts for Inter Milan, he has scored ten goals.
The Italian has been capped at international level for the Under 15s, Under 16s, Under 17s and at Under 19s. He made his first appearance at Under 19 level back in August when he came on as a second half substitute in the 1-0 defeat against Croatia in a friendly.
