Liverpool are among five clubs who could potentially make a move for AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, according to Corriere Dello Sport.

The teenager has been a sensation since becoming the Rossoneri’s first choice keeper at the age of 16. and has been compared to Italian legend Gianluigi Buffon who made his first team breakthrough at a similar age.

Donnarumma, 17, has been most heavily linked with Serie A champions Juventus to become Buffon’s long term replacement, but Milan would do everything in their power to resist the player leaving for their bitter rivals.

The Corriere Dello Sport believes that other clubs would be a more likely possibility with Liverpool, Manchester City, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain being the four others having the greatest need.

The most likely outcome however is that Donnarumma will remain at the San Siro. After coming through the youth system at the club, there is a possibility he could become a one club man similar to Paulo Maldini or France Baresi.
