When Jurgen Klopp joined Liverpool in October 2015 we all thought that some Reds players would begin to improve under his coaching and certainly, Jordan Henderson has been one of those.

When the midfielder signed from Sunderland under Kenny Dalglish many felt that he was going to simply fall by the wayside.

He didn’t seem confident, he lacked physicality and goals to his game and whilst he was a willing runner, not many honestly saw a future for him at the club.

However, those attributes that came with him being such a keen worker on the field let to him being just as hard working off of it and the fruits of his labour are truly coming to light this season.

Inheriting the captain’s armband off of Steven Gerrard last campaign saw him begin to come to the fore and this year, with the Reds right in the mix of a title challenge, he’s kicked on again as this stat via @Squawka on Twitter suggests:

Hendo is this season’s pass-master in the Premier League with an incredible 965 passes, more than any other player in the division.
