According to Bleacher Report, West Ham are looking into signing Chelsea’s Asmir Begovic or Liverpool’s Simon Mignolet as a replacement for Adrian in the January transfer window.

The Hammers have had a very poor season so far with their defence leaking goals and so now it appears our number 2 could be seen as the ideal solution to help save their season.

The Belgian has seen his number 1 spot taken by summer signing Loris Karius this year and that has limited him to starts in the EFL Cup more than anything else so he may be tempted to move on if another side can offer him first team football.

Our defence has looked stronger in recent weeks with the aforementioned Karius developing a good understanding with the likes of Dejan Lovren and Joel Matip and so the signs are that will only get better as time moves on.

Mignolet may have to look elsewhere to play regularly and, though it is thought the Hammers’ first choice is Begovic, the Reds will have to be ready to enact any plan should a bid come in for our former Sunderland stopper.

Would you let Mignolet go, Reds? Let us know below!
