According to calciomercato, FC Porto’s Hector Herrera could be set to leave the Portguese side in the near future with both Liverpool and Juventus linked with the midfielder.

The captain of the side is reportedly unhappy in Portugal at the moment with his relationship with the manager and fans of the team deteriorating after a poor display against Vitoria Setubal earlier this season.

He has three assists and a goal to his name from 15 games this campaign and, given his evident issues currently with his employers, they may be willing to accept a bid of around €20 million for his services in January.

Should the Reds sign him he’d be competing with the likes of Jordan Henderson and Georginio Wijnaldum for the starting spot in the centre of the park but with them in good form he’d certainly have to produce the goods quickly.

We could face competition, too, for his signature from Serie A leaders Juventus and so a bidding war may be about to ensue.

Verdict, Reds? Let us know below!
