As reported by The Liverpool Echo, Joe Gomez has returned to the Liverpool squad for tonight’s game against Middlesbrough and could make a long awaited appearance for the first team once again.
The young defender impressed initially under Brendan Rodgers but has suffered with injuries during his time so far with our club and has not made any 18-man squad under Jurgen Klopp because of that.
Many of us have been excited to see just how he improves under the German boss, though, and we could be set to see just where he is in terms of progression tonight at the Riverside with Dejan Lovren a doubt.
The Croatian was subbed at half-time last time out against West Ham and so it remains to be seen who could partner Joel Matip at the back tonight ahead of a massive game.
We need to win this one to get our title challenge back on track and whoever Klopp plays needs to put in a good performance.
