James Milner
When it became clear that the former Manchester City man was going to be our left back this season we were naturally apprehensive.
It was looking like we were going to have another season blighted by lack of preparation and a plan but we’ve certainly been proved wrong by Milner’s adept displays at left back. He’s playing in a new position on his weaker side and looks pretty natural out there. He deserves every plaudit he gets this season.
