It’s been a whirlwind year both inside and outside of football over the past twelve months and one that, on the whole, the Reds can look back on fondly.
It was the first calendar year for Jurgen Klopp in charge and as it wore on we began to see the kind of football we were going to play under him and where it could take us.
The end of last season saw us go on great journeys whilst the beginning of this one has seen us once again return to where we belong – in a title charge.
We’ve seen plenty of new signings come in and have a positive impact whilst hard work off of the pitch came to a completion in both impressive and poignant situations.
And, it is with the latter, we start our look back at 2016 and the five best things to have happened to Liverpool Football Club in the last year…
