According to Radio 98FM in Brazil (via The Mirror,) the latest bid for Lucas Leiva has come in from Atletico Mineiro.

Whilst the sum of the bid has not been revealed an offer has reportedly been made for our experienced midfielder and so now it remains to be seen whether or not he accepts and moves back to his homeland.

He’s already turned one offer down for his services with that club being Inter Milan and so it’s up for debate whether he’d want to move back to South America just yet if he decides to leave the Reds.

Lucas has not had as much game time as he is used to in the last few seasons and that looks only set to decrease further as time goes by but he has been useful for cup competitions so far.

His adaptation to be another centre back has been handy at times, too, and so it remains to be seen what Jurgen and the Brazilian decide to do.

Thoughts, Reds? Let us know below!
