Speaking in a live Q&A for The Liverpool Echo, journalist James Pearce has revealed that the Reds could make a move for Julian Brandt in the summer window.

It’s been a very quiet transfer window across the Premier League this month and the Reds have certainly been part of that with no-one coming in.

We have been linked with plenty of players but no deals have come to light – harming our performances in recent weeks.

Even so, the summer may prove to be a good one – especially if we can offer Champions League football – and Pearce believes the Reds are likely to make a move for Brandt.

When asked if a move could happen ahead of next season kicking off he said:

“Yes, I do. Klopp is a big fan and would have bought him in this window if Leverkusen had been willing to sell. Liverpool will be hoping that unlike Pulisic, Brandt doesn’t pen a new deal.”

Brandt is one of the brightest young prospects in European football at the moment and should we be able to get him in the summer hopefully it will be worth the wait.
