As quoted by BT Sport (via The Liverpool Echo,) French journalist Julien Laurens believes Alexandre Lacazette will be on his way to the Premier League this summer.
The Lyon striker has been in lethal forward in Ligue 1 for the past few seasons but you get the feeling that for him to become truly world class he needs to go to one of the top divisions in Europe.
Certainly, the league in this country would give him that platform and Laurens thinks it could be on in the summer, for a pretty hefty price.
He said:
“I think he will go to England.
“Whether that is Liverpool, Arsenal or Tottenham – I don’t know. You will have to pay around £40m or £50m.”
It could be one of the transfer battles of the summer, then, but for even £50 million we think it’d be worth it as he almost guarantees goals and a good amount of them.
