It may be a good 48 hours since our win over Spurs but we’re still feeling very good about it – summing up how bleak 2017 has been so far.
Indeed, this calendar year has not been that good at all but let’s not dwell on that after what was a strong performance at Anfield against a very good Spurs side.
In fact, it was a performance that reminded us all of how good we can be and that the top four is still very much an achievable target to go for.
It appears, too, that that surge is going to be led by Sadio Mane as the winger put in a man of the match performance – capped off with two goals.
It left many of us Reds purring and got us thinking via Twitter just whether the Senegalese is now more important than Philippe Coutinho to our chances.
We threw the question out there via @live4Liverpool and this is what, rather one-sidedly, was the outcome:
A great win for the Reds! Here's an interesting question though – who's our most important player? #LFC
