Jurgen Klopp has been speaking to the press today ahead of our latest Premier League fixture against Spurs tomorrow and offered up news of the fitness of three of our players.

The Reds go into this game at Anfield knowing that it has the potential to get 2017 going at last and provide a catalyst for a top four surge – the only thing we can aim for now.

With no other competitions to play for now, though, we might not suffer as much with our poor squad depth, though, despite the news Klopp has offered not being brilliant.

As quoted by the club’s official website he said of Dejan Lovren, Ragnar Klavan and Adam Lallana before the Reds’ final training session:

“It’s not 100 per cent sure if Dejan Lovren can train today, still [with] problems.

“Adam Lallana was out for two days with a little problem with the Achilles. We have to see. He’s willing and we want, for sure, to try that he can train today and then he is available for tomorrow, because it was only two days.

“Ragnar Klavan has had a real bacterial infection, so [had] six days in bed and [has] lost a little bit of weight.

“He was running the day before yesterday, and yesterday felt much better. He’s involved in training today but we have to see what we can do with him.”

It seems to us, then, that Ragnar Klavan is almost certainly out whilst Adam Lallana should be fit.

That just leaves Dejan Lovren who could be in the balance and things may not become clear now until the team-sheets are revealed tomorrow afternoon.
