There’s rumblings beginning to occur once more of a very familiar nature surrounding the Reds and their summer business at the moment.
Many are expecting us to be busy after a poor January market and, if we finish in the top four this season particularly, a lot of money could get thrown about in the next window.
And, whilst the main focus has to be on qualifying on the Champions League, there’s appearing to be work getting done in terms of new recruits – according to The Mirror at least.
They are of the opinion that we’ve opened talks with Mario Gotze over a potential move in the summer in what would be a return to one of the biggest rumours of last season.
We were linked with him last year, of course, but he went to Dortmund instead but things look like they could be aligning for us to make the deal stick at last.
