The Reds have seen plenty of players get linked with them before losing out to other sides around Europe in recent times and, frustratingly, that looks like it could happen again.
Whether or not it’s a suggestion that FSG and Jurgen Klopp need to be doing more in the market to avoid this happening or not is another debate but, for sure, something’s happening where these links are coming to nothing.
Recently, we’ve been linked with Mahmoud Dahoud though James Pearce of The Echo had said it had all gone quiet on that front and now it certainly appears that that is the case.
The young Monchengladbach midfielder has had German outlet 4-4-2 claim that he is off to Dortmund whilst TMW reckon Juventus are in the race for him.
Whatever happens, though, it certainly looks like we won’t be getting the talented youngster in any time soon.
