The Reds returned to Premier League action last night against Chelsea on a rainy night at Anfield.

And, despite breaking our run of losses with a 1-1 draw, it was another frustrating night.

From the outset it appeared Chelsea were going to do what they do so often and that was to sit in and soak up pressure before breaking.

Their goal, and the opener, though, came from a free-kick as David Luiz hit home via the upright.

It threatened to be one of those nights for the Reds once again thereafter but eventually we got the breakthrough as Georginio Wijnaldum nodded home from James Milner’s centre to set up a final flurry.

Nothing really came of that, though, as Simon Mignolet saved a Diego Costa penalty at the other end – leaving the game to finish 1-1.

Not a classic in truth but here are three things we learned from it…
