The Reds at last won their first Premier League game of 2017 last night and they did so in fine style against Tottenham at Anfield.
In what’s been a pretty dire calendar year up until now the Redmen put in a performance we’d become used to at the back-end of 2016 with the side relentless from the off.
Indeed, it looked like Spurs were the side with the awful form coming into this one as they were taken apart ruthlessly time and again and, but for our questionable finishing, could have been really humiliated.
Even so, Sadio Mane made sure that the three points were ours with a brace of goals in a performance that reminded us all of just how good he can be when he’s on form.
In truth, though, the whole side redeemed itself after weeks of poor showings and so picking out the best two has been a tough, but enjoyable, experience.
We’ve managed to do it, though, and reckon this pair shone brightest under the floodlights last night…
