We’re beginning to accept that the Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona rumours are never really going to go away, no matter how long he stays at Anfield for.

Indeed, we’re also getting to the point where he could never find his form again and still be linked with the Spanish side so we’re just going to go with it for now.

This latest story surrounding the move, then, comes via The Mirror, with them claiming that Andres Iniesta could decide to move on at the end of next season – freeing up a gap for someone like Coutinho.

Of course, this turning point in the story is significant with the future of the Spanish midfielder largely unknown until now apparently, and so we should be wary of an imminent bid.

The report does suggest, though, that the Catalans are also looking at Marco Verratti and so we’ll be hoping they go for him rather than our No. 10.
