Speaking to Sky Sports (via The Daily Star,) Yaya Toure’s agent has suggested that he could be open to a move to Liverpool.
Now, when we read this we really were not sure what to think and even now we’re pretty undecided over whether we’d want it to happen.
Of course, Toure is a very talented footballer but he’s nowhere near the tour de force he once was and certainly has question marks over his attitude at times.
Indeed, when we look at what Jurgen Klopp is trying to build based on high energy and youth we really can’t see the Ivorian fitting in whatsoever.
So, whilst he might fancy a move to us, we’re not sure we’d fancy it likewise.
Nevertheless, the midfielder’s representative said: “A move to Manchester United, Liverpool or Arsenal would be considered.”
Interesting comments, at least, but ones we don’t really see having much substance come any transfer window in the future.
