According to Italian outlet TMW, Liverpool are looking into signing defender Davide Zappacosta.
It’s been abundantly clear for some time that the Reds need to sign some extra players to boost any title challenge they hope to have in the coming seasons with defence certainly one area that needs bolstering.
Indeed, left-back is the most crucial area at the moment with James Milner still having to fill-in there – something he has done well at – with Alberto Moreno evidently not good enough.
Interestingly, though, the Torino man is a right-back and that suggests to us that – if we do go for him – we’ll be surely looking at other defenders too.
The club could be set for a serious overhaul at the back, then, and we only hope that Jurgen Klopp gets it right with his acquisitions so we can push on next year.
