The Mahmoud Dahoud to Liverpool link has been one of the season’s most enduring transfer stories.

Indeed, it’s certainly been around for some time with the likes of The Mirror claiming that he is certainly a target for Jurgen Klopp.

It appears, too, according to RP-online, that we have been handed a boost in aiming to sign him.

That’s because, as quoted by the German outlet, Monchengladbach’s sporting director Max Eberl has said that no deal is in place with Borussia Dortmund for them to sign the midfielder.

Indeed, he has said that Monchengladbach are actually looking into trying to get a contract sorted themselves and so whilst that isn’t good news, the part about Dortmund certainly is.

Jurgen Klopp’s former club have got a habit of taking our targets away from us and so, in this respect, we should be happy.
