There’s been a worrying trend around the club in terms of transfers lately in the sense that we appear to have missed out on a number of key targets.

Indeed, the likes of Mahmoud Dahoud, Christian Pulisic and Ousmane Dembele all appear to be players we could have signed and it had appeared the same was going to happen with Julian Brandt.

The young German – as reported by The Liverpool Echo – is a transfer target for Jurgen Klopp and though it seemed like he was going to go to Bayern Munich, the player’s father has dismissed such talk.

Jurgen Brandt told Kicker via the Echo:

“It is fake news that Julian has agreed terms with Bayern. Julian has never been in the situation where he had to – or wanted to – make a decision on his future.”

All is not lost with this one, then, though the Reds do still need to come good on all the rumours and make a bid before we get too excited.
