In his latest Sky Sports Q&A, Guillem Balague has maintained that the Reds and Manchester United are still keen on James Rodriguez, and has also revealed the asking price Real Madrid want.
Seen as the outlet’s main expert on Spanish football, you have to feel that what Balague says on transfer rumours is relatively accurate compared to your run of the mill tabloid story.
His comments, then, have made us sit up and take note whilst his potential fee also seems like something that could be worth pursuing.
Balague revealed when asked about the situation:
“Real Madrid want to sell him and about €35m would do it.
“All the options remain on the table – Manchester United and Liverpool want him”
At that price, then, he could be worth a punt given the raw talent he has available to him – regardless of his current form.
He clearly needs to be playing week in, week out, and the Reds could offer him that.
