As per German outlet Reviersport, the Reds look set to miss out on Max Meyer, Leon Goretzka and Sead Kolasinac in the summer window.
With the club hoping to be in the Champions League, there is an evident need for extra, quality players to be signed in the summer window.
Indeed, even if we’re in the Europa League instead we need extra players to come in and bolster the squad but it appears we’re going to have to look elsewhere than Schalke with the trio not set to come to Anfield.
All three have got Champions League experience thanks to their involvement with the German side and would each have added to the squad with their proven quality and real room to grow.
It doesn’t look likely now, though, and so Jurgen and FSG are going to have to look elsewhere.
