The Reds returned to action this weekend as a much-changed side took on Stoke City at the Bet365 Stadium.
Indeed, injuries have been the theme of the last week or so with the likes of Sadio Mane joining Jordan Henderson and Adam Lallana on the sidelines.
And, with Roberto Firmino and Philippe Coutinho also starting on the bench the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Ben Woodburn got their latest chance to impress as we went with three centre-backs too.
The two youngsters, though, couldn’t do much in the first half as we went 1-0 down thanks to Jon Walters.
The second half, then, needed the Brazilian boys to come on and it was them that made the difference as they both scored within three minutes of one another.
2-1 it finished then, thank goodness, and so here are our player ratings from a vital win…
