As quoted by The Mirror, Jurgen Klopp has revealed the latest over the fitness of Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson.

The Reds’ boss has been speaking today at his press conference ahead of the game against Middlesbrough on Sunday and revealed that there are no real worries about the skipper – even though he won’t be fit for this game.

The former Sunderland man has been out since February with a foot injury but will hopefully be back at full fitness for the start of the 2017/18 campaign in August.

Indeed, Klopp said of Henderson:

“This injury only needs time. We are not for one second without our captain because he’s always around. We’ll be without him on Sunday, but no concerns.”

Henderson, then, will surely be back amongst it before too long and we’re hoping he’s going to be the captain of a Champions League competing side when he gets back to full fitness.
