Speaking on Monday Night Football yesterday and as quoted by The Mirror, Gary Neville has highlighted where he feels the Reds have slumped in recent months.

Indeed, whilst the Reds are still in the top four at the moment they haven’t been as free-flowing as they were at the start of the season and Neville has said that is because players aren’t making as many runs as they used to be.

Indeed, that was certainly apparent against Southampton as the theme of us struggling against sides lower down in the league at Anfield continued with a dull 0-0 draw.

And Neville cited the fact that our forward players and the likes of Emre Can and Gini Wijnaldum were not running into the channels to stretch the play.

Certainly, we’ve noticed that the team is much more narrow without Sadio Mane and we’re hoping that doesn’t impact badly on our top four hopes.

Thoughts, Reds? Let us know below!
