According to The Times, Liverpool have been handed a very welcome boost in the sense that we’re not going to be investigated by the Premier League for the alleged tapping up of Virgil van Dijk.
The story broke earlier this summer with plenty of concerning noises coming out of the press that the Reds had done something seriously wrong over the way they’d tried to sign the Dutch defender.
Indeed, there was concern that an investigation was going to be launched but there is no substantial evidence and so the club should be able to at least move on from this fiasco.
Indeed, we’re hoping now that the Reds are going to go about the rest of their summer business in a rather more low-key fashion whilst the van Dijk deal remains one for plenty to carry on speculating about.
