According to The Daily Mail – via The Metro – the Reds are looking into signing Riyad Mahrez from Leicester City as we continue to try and get together a strong squad.

Of course, we’re going to be playing more games this season – hopefully in the Champions League providing we get through the play-off – and so a bigger squad with more quality is a must.

Indeed, Dominic Solanke is already at the club and Mo Salah has all but arrived but it appears as though there’ll be plenty more action before the window shuts.

And, with Mahrez seemingly wanting to leave Leicester – with whom he won the league – Jurgen Klopp could look to try and bring him in.

The Algerian was superb in 2015/16 but last season he wasn’t as good and so if we did sign him, we think he’d have to prove himself a bit.
