According to The Mirror, Liverpool are looking to sell Lazar Markovic for £12 million – £8 million less than what we signed him for.

Markovic, of course, was one of the players signed by Brendan Rodgers for the club and has never really set the place alight, even though in patches he has shown some quality.

For sure, then, we thought Jurgen Klopp might have been able to get a tune out of him but it instead appears as though he cannot see a future for the young winger.

Instead, then, we’re looking to cut our losses on the former Benfica man and it could be Watford that look to benefit from the situation.

Their new manager Marco Silva worked with Markovic at Hull last season and so it might just make sense for all involved to see this one go through.
