Over the 2016/17 season we saw plenty of transfer rumours concerning the Reds and certain players to the point where you’d be convinced that they were going to happen.
And, with that notion in mind, you’d certainly have thought that at one point Joe Hart was going to be on his way to Anfield.
The goalkeeper spent last season on loan at Torino, of course, with it clear that Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola no longer wants him.
It made sense, then, to see us linked with him with continuing question marks over our own goalkeepers but now it appears that we’re definitely not going to move for him.
Indeed, Jurgen Klopp did say back in April he wasn’t a target but you never can tell whether or not a manager is just saying things to defer the media.
Now, though, it appears this really is a deal we won’t be involved in with The Daily Mail suggesting Man Utd might be keen.
