According to ESPN, Liverpool have rejected an offer from Huddersfield for goalkeeper Danny Ward.

The young stopper has spent plenty of his Liverpool career on loan at different clubs so far and last season was no different as he helped the Yorkshire side into the Premier League.

Naturally, then, it makes sense that they want to try and keep him at the club for 2017/18 but at the moment it appears he will be staying put at Anfield.

Indeed, it appears as though we might be looking at him potentially battling Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius for the starting spot between the sticks in what could be quite the tussle.

We expect Mignolet to start the season in goal, at least, but it really does remain to be seen as to whether the Belgian can keep hold of the position.
