We’ll be honest, we’re not too sure about the way the Reds are approaching things in the transfer market this summer with it seemingly rather erratic.

Of course, we’re pleased to see that we’re going to act quickly, it seems, in the market with the likes of Dominic Solanke getting snapped up pretty sharpish.

After that, though, we’ve been pretty shoddy in our approach with the Mo Salah deal dragging on and the Virgil Van Dijk deal getting shot out of the water so you can’t blame us for being a little bit concerned.

And now, according to The Express, we’re going to make a last ditch attempt at Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain for a princely £40 million.

‘The Ox’ as he is known, is a good player, make no mistake, but throwing that money at Arsenal all of a sudden suggests we’re going to abandon the likes of the Salah deal and, actually, we don’t have that much of a transfer strategy.

What do you make of it, Reds? Let us know below!
