We’re not trying to sound over cynical, but the transfer market and its current prices really do seem to be getting to the point of almost comical levels.
Indeed, whilst we appreciate that players cost top money we’re looking at fees these days that seem to brandish any player that’s got some talent as the world’s best.
And that, is where we find the price tag for Naby Keita at with The Guardian claiming that RB Leipzig have put the almost customary fee of £70 million on his head.
Indeed, this price seems like it’s the new £20 million and though we’re all for getting players like Keita in and spending money we have to question whether he’s really worth that.
Ultimately, though, that’s for the club to decide – it’s not our money after all!
