According to Gianluca di Marzio – via The Daily Star – Lazio are interested in potentially signing Lucas Leiva from Liverpool this summer.
The experienced midfielder is our longest current serving player and would surely be missed if he was to leave.
Indeed, though he’s not playing as much as he once did he is still a positive component to have about and he certainly knows what it means to be a Liverpool player.
For sure, you can’t have too many of those kinds of players around but, ultimately, game time is what rules when it comes to making a decision like this and so he might fancy a jaunt to Rome.
If he does, he’ll be bidded farewell fondly and from there the Reds will need to make sure that his experience is replaced in some way around the squad.
