The men from Anfield have been linked with the box-to-box midfielder for some time and after the Mo Salah deal, it’s become clear he is the next big target.
For sure, then, the Reds will be eager to get it done sooner rather than later but it appears they are willing to wait with it looking increasingly likely that the midfielder wants to leave Red Bull Leipzig.
That, then, should be the cause for optimism instead of panic amongst the fan-base and if the club is ready to play the long game in order to sign him, so should we.
