According to Bild in Germany, Red Bull Leipzig have rejected a £57 million bid from Liverpool over midfielder Naby Keita.
This is clearly going to be one of the summer sagas for our club this time around and at the moment it seems as though the Bundesliga side is going to be rather stubborn.
Of course, we can respect that given that they’re in the Champions League and don’t really need to sell so we’ll have to see what happens next with this latest move showing the Reds are ready to turn things up a notch.
Of course, there is the suggestion that if the player forced for a move that could be the best option forward but right now he seems to be keeping his powder dry.
For sure, then, this won’t be the last we hear of this story and it remains to be seen how much the Reds decide to up an obviously needed improved offer.
