According to The Daily Star, Chelsea are set to bid £40 million for Arsenal’s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain with it looking as though Liverpool have given up on signing him.
The Reds have been linked with the England international for some time with many outlets claiming that Jurgen Klopp is a fan of the midfielder.
He can’t, however, be as big a fan as some would have you believe with it seeming as though the Blues have a uncontested battle to try and sign him from Arsenal.
Whether the Gunners actually let him go, though, remains to be seen with him already featuring for the club in the league and looking important to their switch to 3-4-3 for this campaign.
It remains to be seen what happens, then, whilst we also wonder if the Reds will still go in for him.
