As quoted by football365, Andrew Robertson has revealed his determination to solve the left-back issue Liverpool have had for some time now.
The Reds have had trouble at left-back for a while with it arguable that the last decent one was Fabio Aurelio – a man who suffered greatly with injuries – or Jose Enrique – but he soon went off the boil.
For sure, then, it’s been an issue but new signing Robertson really did impress this weekend just gone with his display on the left against Crystal Palace meaning the early signs are positive.
Indeed, if he can build on that performance we could have a good player in that role once again – instead of shoehorning James Milner in – and this was the Scot’s take on things:
“You don’t come to this club and not think you can help that position.
“I felt I played well. I did tire towards the end but it is my first 90 minutes since May.”
For sure, then, we’re looking forward to seeing the former Hull man in action next time out, too.
