According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Barcelona have seen a bid of £55 million rejected by Lazio for Lorenzo Insigne in a story that is potentially of interest to Liverpool.

The Reds have seen Barcelona try to sign Philippe Coutinho this summer but so far nothing has come to pass involving the Brazilian.

Indeed, we’ve seen recently that the Reds have an eye on Insigne of Napoli as a potential replacement for Coutinho if he leaves but the Catalans are evidently interested in him too.

It makes you wonder, then, are the La Liga side looking at Insigne as an alternative to Coutinho?

Hopefully, the answer is yes but with the amount of cash they have at the moment we wouldn’t be surprised to see them go for both players before the transfer window shuts in a couple of week’s time.

Thoughts, Reds? Let us know below!
