According to TMW, Liverpool are close to signing 25-year-old midfielder Jean-Michael Seri as the transfer window has just over two weeks left to run.
The Reds have ended up having a pretty quiet transfer window this year with Mo Salah being the most marquee name to come in.
For sure, it’s been apparent that Naby Keita and Virgil van Dijk were high on the priority list for Jurgen Klopp this year but neither of those deals have seen much progress over the duration of the window.
Seri, then, could be the Keita alternative and if the Italian outlet is to be believed, we’re close to signing him from Nice.
A box-to-box player, he is very similar to Keita in playing style and so it remains to be seen if we go for the Leipzig man once Seri has arrived – if he does.
