The Reds returned to Champions League action last night as we faced Hoffenheim in Germany in the first leg of the competition’s play-off round.
And, after plenty of waiting over pre-season and tension since the draw was made, things proved well worth the wait as the Reds chalked up a professional 2-1 win.
