As per the club’s official website, both Joe Gomez and Dominic Solanke have been given the honour of being nominated for the Golden Boy award.
The prize is awarded to the best young player in Europe under the age of 21 and it seems as though our two young stars have been nominated for their most recent performances.
Indeed, Joe Gomez has come back into the Liverpool side after some time out thanks to injuries to the likes of Nathaniel Clyne.

Dominic Solanke, meanwhile, is a decent looking striker already and signed for us in the summer – during which he helped England win the U20 World Cup in a tournament that saw him named the best player.
For sure, then, this is good news for the Reds in terms of the future and we’re hoping that the pair, along with our other young stars, can stay at the top for years to come.
