The Reds make their EFL Cup bow this week for this season as we head to Leicester City in the third round of the competition.
The Reds, of course, are the most successful side in the competition and a trophy really needs to be a target this season for Jurgen Klopp’s men.
With us not winning a trophy since 2012, now, the club needs to get some more silverware in the trophy cabinet and many will judge the season on that – as well as at least a top four finish.
This, then, presents itself as the first chance for us to get towards a final and we’ve been going far in this competition under Klopp so far.
Changes are to be expected to the line-up, though, and so, with that in mind, here are the three players we’d like to see get a run-out when they’re usually on the fringes…
