As quoted by UEFA.com – via the club’s official website, Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho has urged the players to now really kick-on after our 7-0 win over Maribor in the Champions League.

The Reds set the record for the biggest away win in the competition after thrashing the Slovenians last night as our attacking prowess finally yielded the goals it deserved.

The likes of Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino and Coutinho all scored in the rout and the Brazilian has now called on the side to keep things up, as we head towards a clash with Tottenham.

He said:

“It’s been a while since we picked up a good win. We’ve been creating scoring chances without managing to turn them into goals. But in the game things went right for us and we did a good job.

“We need to keep working hard and training hard in order to keep this going. We have another game against them at home, a difficult game, where we hope to play another good match.”

Spurs have been going very well this season, of course, but we can get at them on a big Wembley pitch and we certainly think all that space is going to come into play with the likes of Phil and Salah on the field.
