Speaking to the Liverpool Echo – via the club’s official website – Daniel Sturridge has said that he is feeling fit and ready to play a part in the club’s season.
Sturridge’s time at Anfield has been seriously blighted by injuries but he is keeping fit at the moment – touch wood – and played a part in the win over Huddersfield as he scored in our 3-0 win.
That was his second goal in the league of the season and we’re looking for him to add to that tally in the coming weeks with the likes of Sadio Mane out.
The next chance, then, will surely come against Maribor tomorrow night in the Champions League and he seems to be feeling good right now.
He said:
“From my perspective, I’m feeling good. I want to stay healthy and I want to keep scoring goals for the team.
“It’s my job to go out there, put my best foot forward and show what I can do.”
Promising words, then, and let’s hope he continues with the goals.
