According to The Mirror, Liverpool will not allow James Milner to leave the club in January despite the player being on the periphery for much of this season.
It’s been a tough season for Milner personally with him seeing his left-back role taken away by Alberto Moreno and the trio of Emre Can, Gini Wijnaldum and Jordan Henderson in central midfield.
That’s meant he’s been restricted to a handful of appearances but when he has played he has actually done well and his performance in mid-week certainly caught the eye in our 7-0 win over Maribor.
From that, then, he might start featuring a bit more and it certainly appears that he is still a part of Jurgen Klopp’s plans with this report in mind.
It remains to be seen, then, if he starts against Spurs this weekend.
