As quoted by TeamTalk, Liverpool striker Divock Origi has said that he is improving during his loan spell thanks to being able to work with Mario Gomez.
The Belgian forward is currently on loan with Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga after it becoming clear that he’d not be playing often for the Reds this season.
A move was needed, then, and he is playing at a good level with a decent club with the hope that he is getting nearer to fulfilling the potential we know he has.
Certainly, he could be a powerful forward but he needs to add extra consistency to his game if he is going to play for Liverpool more in the coming seasons.
It seems, though, that he is learning from Gomez all the time:
“He’s the captain. Even in training you can see his importance. I can learn a lot from him.
“Mario is top in the box, and to be honest I also like to play up front.”
