As quoted by ESPN, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has said that he expects the Reds to be title challengers for the next few years at least, in a bold statement from the boss.
Coming into this season, Klopp made no effort to hide the fact he felt we’d be going for the league this year but, at this point in the campaign, we are a fair few points off of Manchester City at the top.
Of course, there’s plenty of time left to go and plenty of twists left in the year before we can honestly say we’re out of contention, with Klopp reckoning we’ll be there or thereabouts with the campaigns to come.
Certainly, that is a prediction we hope to see come to pass, with him saying:
“We have to do whatever is necessary and we will be challengers.
“We will be challengers for the next few years, no problem.”
