Liverpool returned to Premier League action yesterday as we rounded out the weekend against Spurs at Wembley.
After beating Maribor 7-0 in the week it was a match we were excited about with the potential for the game to be open and open it certainly was, but not for the right reasons for us in the first half.
A shocking start to the game from Dejan Lovren in particular led to Harry Kane scoring before Heung-Min Son’s strike made it 2-0 thanks in part to another Lovren clanger.
Clearly, then, we were on the back-foot and despite getting back into things via a Mo Salah goal and Dejan Lovren hooking, we still shot ourselves in the foot to go in 3-1 down at the break.
